Asked whether anyone had run the card as an eGPU, GlobalApathy described his: a Dell OptiPlex 7040m micro PC (16 GB single stick), an M.2-to-OcuLink adapter in place of the SATA M.2 drive (moved to a 2.5 inch carrier), an OcuLink external GPU frame and a spare 1000 W PSU. Result
It worked at about 95% uptime and about 50 tok/s generation, but the micro PC swapped and crashed under LLM load, remote desktop crashed, and the OcuLink link was a bit flaky. Needs 32 GB and a stronger host; newer micro PCs with native OcuLink are probably better. Source: @globalapathy, 2026-10-18

- MistyAshHole's 8 GB card in an AG02 USB4 eGPU dock ran for about 25 hours unlocked, then failed GSP init on every boot after Xid 119 and Xid 154, on two hosts and on the stock driver; a test in a native PCIe slot was pending. The dock is not shown to be the cause. Source: @mistyashhole, 2026-10-10 See Troubleshooting.
