GhostInTheDatacenter has the same BAR1 problem on an ASUS WRX90 board as Trust Inter on his WRX80E, with no fix found; his agent ended up suggesting an ASUS support ticket for a BIOS change. {{Source|handle=ghostinthedatacenter_87281|date=2026-10-07|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518692084729511967/1557377602212204607}}<br />{{Source|handle=ghostinthedatacenter_87281|date=2026-10-11|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518695289278566450/1558644625227382795}} He tried AnalyticETH's beta BAR1 work in [https://github.com/AnalyticETH/cmpunlocker AnalyticETH/cmpunlocker] without luck. {{Source|handle=analyticeth|date=2026-10-07|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518692084729511967/1557395846742413322}}<br />{{Source|handle=ghostinthedatacenter_87281|date=2026-10-07|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518692084729511967/1557459230322327553}} The curiouspixel P2P patch in the Morrowmake fork fixed P2P for him, but not BAR1. {{Source|handle=ghostinthedatacenter_87281|date=2026-10-07|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518692084729511967/1557382971584151644}} He later warned anyone buying new to watch out for ASUS boards because of BAR sizing. {{Source|handle=ghostinthedatacenter_87281|date=2026-10-22|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1534370835220004885/1562874947179905055}}

(The board was given as "Asus wrx90"; the Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE is ASUS's WRX90 board.)

== x8/x8 BIOS mod ==
[https://github.com/NA-DEGEN-GIRL/wrx90-bios-mod NA-DEGEN-GIRL/wrx90-bios-mod] is an experimental, AI-assisted BIOS modification that adds the "PCIE X8X8 Mode" bifurcation option for slots 1 to 5 and 7 to this board on BIOS 1317, without downgrading to the older 9936 BIOS that has it. Useful when the board is a few slots short for a multi-card build. {{Source|handle=stcord|date=2026-10-25|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518691940646781070/1563898614982643762|repo=https://github.com/NA-DEGEN-GIRL/wrx90-bios-mod}} {{Status|Theory}} {{Source|handle=stcord|date=2026-10-25|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518691940646781070/1563924672817660045}}
* Observed so far: on one board, USB BIOS FlashBack accepted the image and it booted to Setup with the x8/x8 menu visible (2026-10-20).
* Not verified: x8/x8 actually selected and saved, two-device link negotiation, GPU P2P, inference, long-term stability.
* {{Status|Warning}} The modified image can leave the board unbootable and FlashBack recovery is not guaranteed. The ASUS capsule signature is invalid after modification. The repo has no license file. Do not run its scripts without reading them.
