Reported 8 GB and 10 GB

The ASRock PG-1600G is a 1600 W ATX power supply, not a motherboard. It is on the platforms list because people pair it with CMP builds and because its modular connector pinout differs from cables made for other PSU brands. For power in general see Cooling and power.

Modular connector pinout

Warning Meter the PSU side before plugging in any cable made for another PSU brand. Matching housings and keying do not mean a matching pinout, and a cable that puts +12 V where ground belongs will likely kill a card.

GlobalApathy checked his PG-1600G with a multimeter and photos: the CPU/PCIe ports on the PSU panel use standard EPS 4+4 style housings, and on the panel the side opposite the latch clip is all +12 V and the clip side is all ground. Source: @globalapathy, 2026-10-19

GlobalApathy uses adapters with this PSU only because its 4+4 EPS cables have a double-wide clip that does not fit the card. Source: @globalapathy, 2026-10-19 See Cooling and power for EPS cables.

Zombie runs 4x RTX 3090 plus 2 CMPs with no power limits on two ASRock PG-1600 units (labelled gold, tested platinum by third parties), each on its own 20 A / 120 V branch; Far has three and agrees. Source: @zombielurker, 2026-10-05
