segmond runs 12 cards in an Octominer X12 Ultra with only the GPUs in the case: the case holds, powers and cools the cards, and the motherboard and everything else sit outside. He moved the case's fans outside and needs no extra fans; a script sets the fan speed from GPU temperature. reala put the motherboard, the PSUs and the cards all in the same X12 Ultra; only the fans at the back and the CPU cooler's radiator are outside.
