The ASRock PG-1600G is a 1600 W ATX power supply, not a motherboard. It is on the platforms list because people pair it with CMP builds and because its modular connector pinout differs from cables made for other PSU brands. For power in general see [[Cooling and power]].

== Modular connector pinout ==
{{Status|Warning}} '''Meter the PSU side before plugging in any cable made for another PSU brand.''' Matching housings and keying do not mean a matching pinout, and a cable that puts +12 V where ground belongs will likely kill a card.

GlobalApathy checked his PG-1600G with a multimeter and photos: the CPU/PCIe ports on the PSU panel use standard EPS 4+4 style housings, and on the panel the side opposite the latch clip is all +12 V and the clip side is all ground. {{Source|handle=globalapathy|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561559397220487248}}
{{Source|handle=globalapathy|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561560011459797033}}
{{Source|handle=globalapathy|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561560341823881216}} clee notes this looks reversed compared with the Corsair-compatible pinout he had, so a Corsair-type modular cable he was about to make would have fed +12 V into the ground pins. {{Source|handle=c133|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561558313962049606}}
{{Source|handle=c133|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561559679505539163}}
{{Source|handle=c133|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561560173322043403}} Miséricorde's pinout picture was of the GPU side; clee needed the PSU side, which is what a modular cable plugs into. {{Source|handle=wakeupmbrc1|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561560170192961608}}
{{Source|handle=c133|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1561556993171259554/1561560254595076178}}

GlobalApathy uses adapters with this PSU only because its 4+4 EPS cables have a double-wide clip that does not fit the card. {{Source|handle=globalapathy|date=2026-10-19|link=https://discord.com/channels/1518634379604136178/1518692084729511967/1561556546167504907}} See [[Cooling and power]] for EPS cables.
